The Aquabats San Diego Concert reviews
Better than expected!
This is my second time seeing The Aquabats, and their entire stage set up was better than just a few years ago. I was surprised to hear an acoustic performance of “Down” among the crowd rather than on stage. As always, Travis Barker was great to see play live, especially his unique drum solo performed while spinning in a spherical cage. Their lighting set up was well done, with banners dropping down at one point, which was pretty neat. Their set list, as advertised, included playing their album “Enema of State” in its entirety and some other hits. It was cool to see his drum kit center stage most of the show, playing along with his band mates, rather than being on a riser in the background where drummers typically are. Despite not being a Lil Wayne or Neck Deep fan, the show as a whole was still enjoyable. The Aquabats’s set was a highly rememorable experience.
